Cultivating Real Writers

This third collection of articles from the General Education Division at the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) in the UAE explores how Arabic-speaking students can be supported to improve their writing abilities in English.

Featuring contributions not only from HCT faculty but also from faculty at other higher education establishments in the UAE, this volume brings together relevant research findings on writing and presents a number of approaches already being used to enhance the development of good writing by students in English medium education. Articles will be of interest to all those expecting their Arabic-speaking students to be able to express themselves correctly in written English.
